Turn on the news and see how everyday life has become a nightmare for so many. Drugs, hunger, injustice, and many other issues dominate our culture. As the economy worsens, so does the plight of average people who feel they have nowhere to turn.

But there is a light at the end of that dark tunnel - hope for the hurting, the oppressed, the weary. That light is Jesus. It seems simple enough, but many have become disillusioned with those who profess Jesus. Why? Because they have been turned away, looked down on or left outside the doors of churches.

Hazelwood Baptist Church is here to change perceptions. We are here to invite hurting people - people who need hope - people who need Jesus.

If your world is falling apart, you are invited. If you don't think you can make it one more day, you are invited. If you need hope, you are invited. If you need love, you are invited. If you feel lost inside a dark tunnel with no light at the end, you are invited.
