I graduated from Animas High School in Animas, New Mexico in 1985. I received my BA in
Elementary Education
from Mars Hill in Mars Hill, North Carolina in 2008.
Where were you born:
I was born in Waterloo, Iowa in December of 1966.
Life Verse/Favorite scripture/passage:
Today, in this moment, my favorite verse is: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope
and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
Ask me tomorrow or next week and it might be

isn't it amazing how the Bible always speaks to us
where we are! Praise God!
Family:
I am the wife of Charlie Byrd, stepmother to Jennifer, 28, mother to Christy, 18,
Mark, 16,
and Logan, 9, Nana to Makayla, 5, and Alex, 3.
Favorite TV Show(s)/Movie:
I don't watch a lot of t.v., I did enjoy Grey's Anatomy for a time. I don't know if I
have a favorite movie
but I do like the Pirates of the Caribbean
movies(gotta' love Johnny Depp!)
Favorite Food:
I like food! Again with the "favorite" who can chose!!
Favorite Restaurant:
I would have to say "Chili's" is my favorite restaurant because that is
where Charlie and I met for our first blind date.
Favorite Book(s)/Author:
One of my favorite authors is Jan Karon who wrote the Mitford series.
Favorite Music Artist or group:
I like all different types of music from rock to Christian. I would have to say my
favorite group would still be the Eagles.
Hobbies/Activities:
I would have to say that my favorite activities include time with my family.
As my children grow up I am realizing what a precious commodity that time is.
We like to camp and I look forward to those times when we can all go!
What do you love most about your ministry:
I enjoy being able to help children grow in their relationship with Jesus.
I also love being able to provide opportunities for children who don't know
Jesus to come to Him.
Best Advice:
Enjoy the space you are in RIGHT NOW! Whatever God has in store for you,
you are doing it right this very moment, make the most of it, do your best at
it and love the life He has blessed you with!! |
