Adult Ministries

  • LIFE University
    LIFE University is an opportunity for church members to deepen their spiritual walk through courses offered in all areas of the Christian life.

Courses are offered every thirteen weeks, with each course meeting 10 weeks. Courses begin around September 1, December 1, March 1, and June 1. Over 20 different courses in four different areas are offered. The fours basic areas of study are:

Theological
Practical
Spiritual Growth
Life Application and Church Growth

LIFE University courses are taught on Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m.

  • Barnabas Ministry
    The New Testament character named Barnabas was known to be an encourager, in fact the name Barnabas means "son of encouragement". When a new member joins our fellowship he/she is assigned to a church member who serves as the new member's "Barnabas". 
  • Baptist Men- Our Baptist Men meet on Saturday mornings once a quarter for breakfast.  After breakfast there is a short program usually followed by a special project.
  • Womens Missionary Union - Woman's Missionary Union is an auxiliary of the Southern Baptist Convention that seeks to equip adults with missions education to become radically involved in the mission of God. Hazelwood Baptist WMU meets once a quarter (first Monday of the last month of each quarter) at 6:30 p.m. for a covered dish supper followed by a program.   Two sub groups of WMU - Current Mission and Mission Vision hold monthly meetings the remaining months.  The WMU sponsors many missions related projects during the year.
    • Current Mission - Prayer:  This groups meets at 2:00 p.m. on the Monday after the second Sunday of each month
    • Mission Vision - This group meets at 7:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month
    • Friday Morning Prayer Breakfast/Prayer Ministry- members gather on Friday mornings at 8:00 am for breakfast followed by a time of prayer for the church, it's members, special concerns, and any other prayer needs requested.
  • Women's Bible Study - meets every Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  All ladies are welcome to come and invite their friends for this fellowship and Bible study.
