Children's Ministry

At Hazelwood Baptist Church we recognize the importance of a strong children’s ministry. We strive to equip our children and youth with the tools needed to be a “warrior for Christ” in their school, home, and playground.  In addition to regular Sunday School classes the following activities are available for children:

  • Mission Friends- Mission Friends is the church missions organization of WMU for preschoolers ages birth through pre first. The primary objective of Mission Friends is to provide a strong foundation for preschoolers in a Christian and missions lifestyle.

Mission Friends provides developmentally appropriate missions learning experiences to help preschoolers move from a self-centered focus to a focus on others, to become aware that not everyone knows about God's love, and to understand ways they can help others know about this good news!  Mission Friends meet every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

  • Girls in Action (GA's)  Girls in Action is a missions organization for girls in grades 1-6.  In GA®, girls:
    • learn what missionaries do.
    • pray for missionaries and their work.
    • discover how they can help other people.
    • save and give money to help tell other people about Jesus.
    • learn about people around the world
    • have fun with friends!

    GA's meet every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.

Royal Ambassadors (RA's) - Royal Ambassadors (RAs) is a Bible-centered, church-based, Southern Baptist mission education organization for boys in grades 1-6. Our RA's meet every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.

Choir- We have both a pre-school choir and children's choir.  Practice is every Sunday evening at 5 p.m.

Extended Service - during the regular Sunday Worship Service we provide special activities for children ages 4 and 5 that include Bible Stories, songs, worship, and crafts.

Inductive Bible Study - for children in grades 1 through 6.  Sunday evenings from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
